Don Jersain Agudelo was born and raised in La Divisa, a vereda near Salamina, Caldas.
He and his wife, Doña Meri, have a story of strength and resilience. After years of working as butlers, they reached an agreement with the owner of the farm and acquired part of it, creating Villa Sofía, their own place.
Despite some difficulties they have faced like the coffee crisis, their efforts took them to produce one of the best and most awarded specialty coffees in the region.
The elevation and topography where it is located, provide Villa Sofía exceptional environmental conditions that make its coffee varieties – Castillo, Caturro and Bourbon- some of the most desired by consumers.
